Nurse Kai created First Step Career Center in 2019. As the youngest of six children she learned how to become a pioneer and advocate for higher learning at an early age. She went on to become a graduate of Wayne State University with her bachelor's degree in Psychology in 2004. She began a second career in nursing in 2012 when she graduated from Wayne County Community College District with an Associate's Degree in Nursing (2014) then on to graduate from the University of Michigan with honors in 2016 with a Bachelors Degree in Nursing. With a background in critical care, she is committed to the advancement and growth of those interested in a career in the health care industry. Now the mother of three beautiful children she is completing her Master’s Degree at Wayne State University as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Student.  As the lead instructor at First Step Career Center, she is prepared to offer an exciting learning experience.
